These vibrant paintings are based on a trip to the Kent Weald to find a rare fern. The three paintings form a map of the area. The colours reflect the pink lichens and wet green moss of the rocks where the plant hides. They intensified during the painting process.

This board is 61 x 61 cm square and comes in a black wooden frame (25mm deep). It is acrylic and mixed media on a birch wood board.
